Who is Goose?
Goose is actually a nickname for our 12 year old yorkie, Harry, and when he gets overly excited he makes a honking noise like a goose. Years ago when my husband was coaching high school basketball he wasn’t home until late in the evening and I wanted a companion which is how we ended up with Harry. As we’ve had children and they’ve grown up or life has changed the one constant thing is I’m always home with Goose.
What kind of camera and lenses do you use?
I use a Canon 5d Mark III. The lenses I use are 50mm f/1.4 (my favorite go to), 24-70mm f/2.8which is great for wider shots, and a 135mm f/2L macro, perfect for getting up close and personal.
Why a blog?
It’s a great place to share and keep track of recipes, kid projects, decor items, and travel locations with others. I love sharing things that have worked for us as a family, and me as a photographer, in hopes that someone else might benefit from it.
Where are you from?
We currently live in Washington State in the US but we have the hope of someday moving to London. We’ve been several times and absolutely love it there, it has so much to offer, we’re always trying to figure out ways to get back.
What is lifestyle photography?
Lifestyle photography is wonderful because it covers so many things like, travel, portraits, interiors, cooking, a day at the beach, gardening, a picnic, breakfast in bed or a hand holding a bouquet. Pretty much anything a person can do falls into the lifestyle category. I love showing the special moments in daily activities and if I can wrangle one of my kids to be a model it’s even better.
